The first semester course.
Goal
Deepening the grammatical and lexical basis.
Master the main functions of communication and the most basic and ordinary structures of the modern Chinese language.
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
- Understand and use basic Chinese,
- Ask for simple information: ask for a directions, go to the post office, write basic characters,
- Master everyday vocabulary,
- Simple communication.

Presentation
Precise pronunciation, listening to audio and video recordings during the course, group discussions or individual questioning, oral or written text translations, role plays. Text analysis.

Forms of instruction
This course uses audio and video equipment. Students listen to the tape and repeat, read texts in class, watch movies in Chinese and have group discussions.
