Prerequisite
BEGINNER LEVEL: no prerequisites

LEVEL1: Basic knowledge of Spanish.

LEVEL 2-3: Must have studied the language for at least 2 years.

ADVANCED LEVEL: Must have studied the language for at least 4 years.
Goal
BEGINNER LEVEL and LEVEL 1: At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
- know how to handle everyday situations.
- master important notions of the Spanish language (grammar, conjugation, vocabulary, expressions).
- understand important elements of Spanish culture.

LEVEL 2-3: At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
- use the language in work and everyday life situations.
- master the common grammar of contemporary Spanish.
- express himself/hersolf clearly when dealing with different subjects of research.

ADVANCED LEVEL: At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
- use Spanish in work situations (job interviews, management of work conflicts, etc.).
- express himself/herself clearly by using complex structures of the language.
- know basic economic vocabulary.
- follow a conversation between native speakers without difficulty.
- understand the economic reality facing the Spanish-speaking world.
Presentation
BEGINNER LEVEL
- Greetings, spelling, asking questions .
- Orthography, punctuation and accent rules.
- Presentation and description (with active games so that the students can put their acquired knowledge into practice).
- Telling the time: clocks and time.
- Simple vocabulary: names given to people from a particular region or country, parts of a house, usual objects, gastronomy, numbers, colours, professions, days of the week, months in a year, seasons.
- Buying products, asking prices and about quality.
- Transport and addresses. Learning to give directions.
- Expression of taste and priorities.
- Conjugation (present, future, conditional, imperfect).
- Articles, pronouns, comparatives.
- Writing simply letters, e-mails and flyers.
- Prepositions and usual conjugations.
- Notions about Spanish culture.
- Reading simple texts about subjects regarding mainly Spain, France and Latin America. Asking comprehension questions based on these texts and, in some cases, organizing short verbal exchanges based on opinion.

LEVEL 1
- Introduce oneself and speak about life in the past, present and future.
- Advanced questions about orthography.
- Simple presentations in Spanish.
- Handling situations in professional and everyday life.
- Specific vocabulary based on commerce and business.
- Buying products, asking for prices and about quality.
- Expression of taste and priorities.
- Conjugation (level intermediate).
- Writing different formal and informal documents.
- Points of grammar (level intermediate).
- Studying Spanish society in depth (culture, politics and economics).
- Reading semi complex texts about current subjects concerning mainly Spain, France and Latin America. Asking comprehension questions based on these texts and organizing debates.

LEVEL 2-3
-describing and introducing a company and its structure
-speaking about and discussing current social and cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking countries
-describing a product and focussing on its advantages
-justifying the introduction of a product on the Spanish market, analyze social and economic aspects
-making written contact with a firm (mail, order letters, etc.)
- expressing oneself by using complex structures of the language
- having good all-round knowledge of the company’s vocabulary

ADVANCED LEVEL
- consolidate/improve the basics of the language
-master more specific skills in order to use the language in professional situations
a) attending an interview for a job
b) knowing how to defend a point of view during a conflict at work
c) analyzing social and cultural differences in order to introduce a product on a foreign market
d) preparing oneself to attend a fair (make an appointment, enquire about the location, conditions, etc.)
- learn to embrace a foreign culture
a) studying some cases in the field of human resources
