Prerequisite
No preliminary skills are required to follow this course.
The specific equipment and supplies will be provided by Marangoni Institute, these supplies will have to be returned at the end of each course.
Goal
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
1. Demonstrate an international mindset
2. Construct expert knowledge from cutting-edge information
3. Demonstrate an expertise on key concepts, techniques and trends in their professional field
4. Have an overview of garment production processes and technology
5. Have an overview of main methods of pattern making
6. Have a good understanding of the role of the Pattern Maker
7. Use and understand adequate vocabulary
Presentation
Work in a pattern-making workshop with specific tools:
• Basic evolving of patterns (skirt, dress).
• Methods to increase or reduce volumes and others usual technical elements.
• Shapes and volumes.
Final personal project (technical drawing, garment making)

A written form a table in excel or word file, comment based on a picture.

The student will have to do a technical description of the clothing (shape, cut, details of pockets, stitching, finishing, etc..) It should choose of fabric,and highlight any constraints of manufacturing, -Propose a customer
