Prerequisite
Students who register for this course should be familiar with:
- basic calculus, statistics and probability theory
- financial derivatives such as forward and option contracts
Goal
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:

- understand the importance of multinational transactions
- understand international monetary arrangements and balance of payments
- understand how foreign exchange rates are determined;
- understand foreign exchange risk
- construct expert knowledge from cutting-edge information (5B)
- thoroughly examine a complex business situation (6A)
Presentation
This course aims to provide students with knowledge of international finance and skills of managing
FX securities in a global environment. Topics include FX markets, international monetary arrangements, foreign exchange rates parities, determinants of exchange rates, FX derivatives and FX risk management.
