Prerequisite
To have basic awareness of MBTI (Myer Briggs) as covered in 2nd year human behaviour course.
To be aware of situations that may present themselves in the workplace.
To consider and reflect upon a past negative experience to use as a practical example to apply classroom learning in order to manage the situation differently in future.

Goal
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
Have the ability to understand and find international HR laws pertaining to Employment Law in the workplace.
To gain knowledge and skills on managing the discussions on sensitive topics with an employee.
To understand the negative implications of mismanaging situations in the workplace.
To understand various HR policies and their practical implementation in the workplace.
To appreciate and adapt to international differences and sensitivities in relation to addressing sensitive situations in the workplace.
To gain an advanced knowledge of MBTI in conflict management and employee behaviour in the workplace.
To identify personal development areas and strengths that they can bring to the workplace.

Presentation
This course is designed to give practical skills on implementing HR policies within the workplace. The principal learning will centre around best practice on managing the conversations with employees related to employee law and HR policies, from an international perspective.

Evaluation
As this course is aimed to give practical skill development in managing sensitive employee issues in the workplace, the assessment will include presentation, role play along on a small group basis with individual assignments.
