Prerequisite
Students should have basic knowledge of statistics. They should also have a good understanding of important issues in the Information Systems field.
Goal
At the end of the course, the student should be able:

- explain the basic tenents of quantitative research,
- design and communicate a quantitative research method
- collect quantitative data
- conduct quantitative data analysis
- interpret and communicate findings
Presentation
This course reviews the language of research, relevant ethical principles and challenges, and the elements of the research process related to quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches. In teams, participants will develop a quantitative research proposal to address one of the research questions developed in the literature review from the previous semester. They will collect data, conduct analyses, and interpret their findings.

Evaluation
Students will complete a final examination of the material covered in the textbook and lecture sessions. Additionally, students will complete a group project where they will collect and analyze quantitative data.
