Goal
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
Large outsourcing contracts come to their second or third generation and what clients are expecting is major savings opportunities that require a new approach to identify and implement them. By maintaining usual ways to approach the process, it is very difficult to bring more value added. To create a new competitive advantage, we need to analyse the process, the value added provided to the client and how we can eliminate waste. Tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, benchmarking, Innovation sharing will bring methods and principles to improve the way a company is working. This course will give a general overview of key elements to use to provide continuous improvement.

The aim of this course is to review the fundamentals of Operational Excellence, meaning LEAN SIX SIGMA approach, benchmarking and innovation sharing. This is a module set in the context of industrial and service economic sectors. At the end of the course, the student should be able to understand the principles of continuous improvement and the key success factors and tools to be applied to implement such a project. The course will also give a global overview on importance of communication and resistance of change.
