Prerequisite
Students obtaining a score of under 920 must enroll for this course.
Students with a score of 920 and higher are strongly advised NOT to enroll for Preparation for TOEIC. They should instead enroll in an elective of their choice.
All students will have access to Prep My Future (an online learning platform designed specifically to prepare students for the Official TOEIC Test) regardless of their enrollement in Preparation for TOEIC or the elective of their choice.
Goal
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:

1. Identify and comprehend grammar structures relevant to those used in the Official TOEIC Test.
2. Familiarize students to the set up and structure of the Official TOEIC Test.
3. Obtain a score of 880 or higher on the Official TOEIC Test.
Presentation
All course content is related to the Official TOEIC Test. Students will hone English grammar and vocabulary competencies relevant to the official TOEIC Test and then measure their progress with in-class listening and reading tests that replicate the Official TOEIC Test. Oral presentations throughout the semester will maintain students' oral communication skills. Homework will be given every week on different grammar points.

Evaluation
Their will be four continuous assessments: an oral comprehension exam, written comprehension exam, a grammar review exam, and a group presentation on a grammar point. Participation will be evaluated throughought the semester through completion of tasks outside of class as well as in-class involvement.
