Masterclass 2024 – Global Actors for Peace: an 8th edition dedicated to the challenges of climate change
From September 16 to 20, 2024, the Faculty of Law at the Université Catholique de Lille will host the 8th edition of the annual Masterclass ‘Global Actors for Peace.’ This year, the focus will be on the challenges posed by climate change, a topic of great importance in the current context.
A Bilingual and International Colloquium
Organized by the Research Center on the Relations between Risks and Law (C3RD), this bilingual (French/English) event will examine the role of global actors in promoting sustainable peace. It will bring together experts from NGOs, international organizations, academia, and civil society, as well as representatives from regional and international jurisdictions.
Analyzing Climate Issues
How can environmental causes be promoted? What is Generation Z’s relationship with the environment? How can climate cases be brought before the courts? What can international organizations do to combat this phenomenon? And what is the impact of current environmental policies? These are some of the questions that will be addressed during this Masterclass, aiming to deepen our understanding of the issues and challenges of climate change.
A Rich and Varied Program
Throughout the week, participants will have the opportunity to attend a multitude of activities: conferences, round tables, film debates, and exhibitions. This multidisciplinary program will encourage exchanges between speakers, students, and members of civil society, all passionate about environmental issues.
Participating in the 2024 Masterclass is an opportunity to attend crucial discussions about the future of our planet and to meet experts committed to combating climate change.
