Presentation :

ESPAS is a Bachelor’s and Master’s program at the Catholic University of Lille that trains students in both business and biosciences.

With its innovative approach combining business and scientific expertise, ESPAS prepares students to support companies in sectors such as healthcare, biomedical, foodtech-nutrition, cosmetics, and distribution in developing their strategies and projects. Students with an interest in the scientific field thus gain new opportunities in the business world.

Key features of ESPAS:

– A unique concept that provides students with a dual skill set in business and biosciences, highly sought after by companies in the cosmetics, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and agri-food sectors, with a focus on responsible management.

– A responsible business approach, integrating environmental, social, economic, human, and ethical challenges throughout the program.

– Strong links with the business world, with three internships during the Bachelor’s program, including one international experience, and a two-year work-study period during the Master’s. Courses are enhanced by direct collaborations with companies, including through hackathons and case studies.

– Academic recognition with a school diploma (Bac+5) in “Business Management – Business and Biosciences Track,” as well as a national Bachelor’s degree (RNCP level 6) and a national Master’s degree (RNCP level 7) in “Law, Economics, and Management.”

– A more personalized approach to learning within a human-scale school (classes of 60 students), with a particular focus on the overall well-being of students.

– The freedom to personnalize their studies from the third year of the Bachelor’s program, with:

> The choice of a scientific specialization in health, cosmetics, or foodtech-nutrition.

> The choice of a business specialization: Strategic Marketing & Digital Communication, Strategic Purchasing & Supply Chain, or Human Resources & Project Management.

Skills and expertise taught :

The ESPAS Master’s programme is spread over 4 semesters, with a system of alternating courses (3 weeks in a company / 1 week at school) over a period of 2 years. The main objective of this Master’s programme is to :

– Cultivate managerial skills and promote a global and strategic vision in the following areas:

> Management applied to the foodtech-nutrition or health or cosmetics sectors (choice of specialisation)

> Responsible management

> Organisational management

> Human resources management

Students are also invited to choose from 3 specialisations to personalise their course:

> Strategic Purchasing & Supply Chain

> Strategic Marketing & Digital Communication

> Human Resources & Project Management

In addition to their specialism, and to open up to other areas of expertise, Master’s students choose to add a related subject to an existing Master’s degree (certifications, setting up or taking over a business, website creation/IA/No code, design thinking, Humanities pathway, etc.).

Career opportunities :

In a constantly evolving world, where companies more than ever need versatile and highly skilled teams, students in the ESPAS program are trained to develop business strategies with both a commercial and scientific approach. This program offers them numerous career and growth opportunities in a wide range of sectors, such as healthcare, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, agri-food, biomedical, biotechnology, and distribution, in various functions: sales, purchasing, digital marketing, human resources, logistics, distribution, or quality control.

Whether in roles such as Business Manager, Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Product Manager, or Commercial Director, graduates will be involved in managing, planning, and contributing to the strategic decisions of companies. Some of them may choose to start their own business or launch a start-up.

Admission requirements :
