This course has no formal prerequisites. However, students will be expected to be able to use their personal laptops to work with online spreadsheet software (Google Sheets), as well as with statistical software (R and RStudio). All software used in the course is free to install and use.
Students should open a Google account prior to the first class, and bring a recent laptop running an up-to-date operating system and Web browser to all classes.
Students who have difficulties with using their personal laptops are advised to turn to the University computer helpdesk for assistance prior to coming to class.
The instructions above will be repeated and detailed in the first week of class.
