Good knowledge of the fundamentals of IR and a rudimentary knowledge of Asia.
This course aims to provide an understanding of the specificities and trajectories of East Asia, from China to Japan, including the Korean peninsula and South East Asia. We will endeavor to study the spatial and social dynamics of the countries concerned, but also policies and diplomacy, as well as security issues. A geopolitical and geoeconomic aspect will be particularly highlighted, as will military and strategic issues (nuclear, maritime security, sovereignty, etc.).
It is an 18-hour lecture course, during each course a PPT, interview extracts and case studies will be screened in various formats.
