Available to fourth year students. No academic requirements or previous recording or mixing skills are required. Course is conducted in English, and participation is a must. Curiosity about digital art and good listening skills are helpful. The ability to work independently over a ten-week period and in a self-directed manner is essential.

This hands-on course presents sound recording and mixing from an artistic point of view. Students acquire field recording techniques using a flash recorder, then learn to treat and manipulate the sound using multi-track software. The main project in the class is an artistic project developed and completed in a small group. Imagination, follow-through and collaboration are key
