Conduct a master’s thesis in finance using to the hypothetico-deductive research method. This includes:
-Master the appropriate techniques and display expertise in finance
-Establish a coherent conceptual frameworks and define relevant assumptions
-Determine and collect an appropriate sample of data, and provide descriptive statistics
-Choose and apply appropriate quantitative methods
-Analyze and interpret empirical results
-Formulate conclusions
-Use the appropriate writing style for a master’s thesis
-Perform an oral defense of the research results, and convince the audience about the objectivity and rigor of the methods used

The course consists of working on a “mini-thesis” (similar to the master thesis, but smaller in scope and scale). The course is split in two groups: students who choose the ‘Corporate Finance’ sub-track, and those who choose the ‘Asset & Risk Management’ sub-track. Several lectures and homework will guide students.
