– Fashion, a timeline

Day 2 Visit Museum : ‘Dos à la Mode’ at Musée Bourdelle

Day 3
-1920 – 1929 The Modern Style, the European Avant Garde, Chanel
– 1930 – 1939 The main fashion designers of the 20th century Hollywood, Schiaparelli
– 1940 – 1945 The Utility Suit, The Zoot Suit, Le Petit Theâtre de la Mode
– 1947 – 1959 Balenciaga, Hubert de Givenchy

Day 4
– 1960 – 1969 Street Style, Space Age, Courrèges, Paco Rabanne, Pierre Cardin, Mary Quant
– 1970 – 1985 Subcultures, Punk and the Yuppies Phenomenon ; the Japanese Designers; Armani
fashion and anti fashion
– 1990s Minimalism, Antwerp Six

The field trip to Paris exhibition ‘Dos à la mode’ at Musée Bourdelle will take place during class hours tbc.

Day 5 Final assessment and group presentations.
