At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
Understand both exclusive and compensatory rights and recognizing them in different scenarios;
Know the different approaches existing in Civil Law Countries, Common Law Countries and to some extent in countries applying the Sharia Law;
Think strategically as to the choice of mechanism ensuring implementation and enforcement of her own rights
Identify the most important clauses in contracts
Be informed about the different steps to establish extra-contractual liability
Be able to work individually or in a team to apply legal rules to concrete scenarios
Introduction to law and to the different legal systems
II. Implementation and enforcement mechanisms: the judiciary sistem and some ADR
III. Property Rules: what are real estate and personal property?
