The aim of this course is to introduce some of the main issues that are debated by international relations practitioners, experts and academics alike.

This course has two particular emphases. First, more than a traditional IR course, it focuses on the concept of ‘world politics’, i.e. the globe as a system and as an order. Second, it pays particular attention to contemporary debates and recent developments, and even to forward-looking thinking.
