Presentation :

The Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science is a law programme combining the study of fundamental legal subjects with a specialisation in political science. It provides students with both the legal and political culture that will give them access to competitive examinations (IEP, Sciences Po) and masters degrees in Law, Political Science and International Relations.

AIMS OF THE PROGRAMME

To acquire the skills and fundamentals of Law and Political Science

To master the methodology of Law and Political Science

To develop legal reasoning and argumentation

To put into practice, in particular through the Rhetoric Clinic

To develop general culture and open up to the Humanities

To improve written and oral expression

To prepare for the common IEP competitive entrance exam at Bac+1 level.

EDUCATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

A pace and teaching methods that encourage reflection, interactivity and professional situations

A transitional unit to familiarise students with the law and facilitate immersion

Progressive learning of legal methodology: supervised work and methodology workshops (in small groups)

Individual support via tutoring (on request)

Permanent teaching staff who provide regular monitoring of students

Specific modules on the methodology of written expression (L1) and the methodology of oral expression (L1-L2-L3) in small groups (18-20 students)

An optional media exposure module over 3 years with a theme developed each year in interactive courses supplemented by meetings with professionals, practical modules and visits to professional environments

Preparation for competitive examinations integrated into the course and open to all students (specific modules in L1, modules adapted to demand in L3)
