Students enrolled in this course should have taken introductory courses in Information Systems & Operations Management or have basic knowledge of these areas acquired from professional experience or from an internship.

At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
– Analyse the theory and practice of conducting a business continuity and impact analysis using ISO 22301 international standard
– Identify and describe the methodology for completing a hazard vulnerability assessment
– Evaluate the role of emergency response in continuity planning
– Implement a business continuity plan that includes an analysis on training and awareness of the program
– Analyse the elements of effective crisis communications
– Identify and describe the process for coordinating with stakeholders.
