Students are not required to have any background in the discipline and, in fact, the course is designed to introduce some basic concepts and approaches in political science.

Objectifs


e-Governance and digitalisation of politics more generally is now wide spread and changed how governments works, how policy gets made and how governments interact with each other and its’ citizens. This course aims to provide a broad overview of how e-Governance affects policymaking along the key steps of the policy cycle and across a variety of central topics such as the use of Apps and Social media in public policy. It will also examine ways to improve government operations, service delivery or policy making to overcome structural and institutional obstacles to change with digital tools and caused by them. The course will use a variety of case studies to study and illustrate e-Governance. Overall, it critically assessing in theoretically and empirically how governments are attempting to organize and operate in a digital age.
