Objectifs
At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. Understand different knowledge areas associated with project management
2. Describe the main processes in areas of scope, time, and cost management
3. Appreciate the specificities of IS projects and how they are different from classical projects
4. Understand the difference between Waterfall and Agile methodologies for management of IS projects
5. Identify the conditions under which each methodology is more useful
6. Appreciate the philosophy and principles of Agile project management
7. Identify different components of the Scrum method of agile project management
8. Have the experience of contributing to a Scrum project while playing different team roles
9. Apply the Scrum method in practice

Présentation
This course provides students with the basic principles of project management with a focus on Agile project management and the Scrum method. Through a curated mix of lectures, activities/games, case studies, and group projects, students will experience the raison d’être and the utility of the principles of agile project management but will also learn in practice how to manage a project with agility using the Scrum method.

Évaluation
The assessment will have three parts; participation and continuous assessment (30%, assessed of activity participating in class discussions and activities), individual final exam (40%, assessed by MCQ and open-ended questions on the content and activities of the course) and group projects (30%, assessed by the ability of the group to plan and adapt in a changing environment). Feedback will be given to students on a continuous basis throughout the class to individuals and groups. Feedback will also be continuously given on final projects in the form of sprint reviews.
