Présentation

Prérequis
Although the level of math used in this course is fairly simple, familiarity with probability, basic statistical and calculus concepts would be helpful. Familiarity with Excel is also desirable. Students should be interested in using quantitative analytical tools.
Objectifs
The fundamental purpose of studying this course is to be able to represent real word problems using models that can be analysed to gain understanding and insight. In addition, The decision tools taught through this course may be used in the other courses i.g. Supply Chain Management, Transportation & logistics, Warehouse design, Production and capacity planning, and possibly master thesis.

*To sum up, the goals and objectives are as follows:

-Grasp the concept and purpose of the decision analysis techniques (AACSB- LO5B)
-Identify the basic elements of a decision problems(AACSB-LO5B)
-Create graphical structures (Decision tree and Influence diagram) for decision models (AACSB- LO5C)
-Create graphical structures (Decision tree and Influence diagram) for decision models (AACSB- LO4C)
-Apply some tools available to the decision maker for analysing a decision model (AACSB- LO5C) and (AACSB- LO5D)
-Use sensitivity analysis tools in the iterative decision-structuring and analysis process (AACSB- LO5C)
-Apply linear programming technique to solve relatively small problems if applicable (AACSB-LO5C)
